Introduction
This article provides details about the Migrations Manager Feature available which is available in SharePoint Cloud admin of your tenant.
The scope of this article is related to migrations of content based on the supported scenarios.
- Moving content from SharePoint Server 2010 or SharePoint Server 2013
- File share migration from a single computer or VM
- Migrating content to SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams
Steps
- Make sure you have Sharepoint cloud Tenant for SharePoint Online, which will have a tenant name such as:
https://XXXX.sharepoint.com/
- Connect your tenant Admin which has the link - https://XXXX-admin.sharepoint.com
- Microsoft Provides the below three options for migration:
- Migration Manager Feature
In this approach we can configure multiple migrations agents and we can migrate data from files share to Cloud.
- Migrating from Existing On-Premise Environment or File Share to Cloud.

- Migrating from Another Cloud Environment to Cloud
In this case, Microsoft will help you move your data from other cloud Applications to SharePoint Cloud. You can do the same thing from the existing SharePoint cloud to different cloud tenants as well.
We can do this using Mover. Mover is a Cloud Migration Tool Acquired by Microsoft.
Mover supports the below connector for facilitating Migrations.
You can migrate from any of the cloud locations.
