Introduction
In this article you will learn about how to create a Roaming User Profile in Windows Server 2012.
Step 1
First of all you need to create a new folder in any of the drives like I created a new folder named "Test" in the D Drive; see:
Now we have to share this folder, for that right-click on the folder and click on it's Properties.
Step 2
Now the Property Window for the folder will be opened.
You have to click on the "Sharing" Tab for further processing. In the Sharing Tab two options will be available; the first one will be named "Share" and the other one will be named "Advanced Sharing". From these two options you need to select the first option, in other words "Share".
Step 3
Now you need to choose the person of which you want to share this folder. For choosing the person you can click on the Drop Down button, under the Drop Down button two options will be available from which you can either select to add everyone or you can choose a specific person for sharing.
As you choose to add a specific person a new window will be opened named as "Add Users or Groups", on this window you need to click on the "Advanced" button.
Step 4
On the next page, initially no names will be available; to get the names you have to click on the "Find Now" button.
From the available Users and Groups you need to select the person or group for which sharing is to be done. Here I selected the Domain Users group so any user created on this domain will get an entry in this folder. After making the selection click on the "OK" button.
Step 5
As you click on the "OK" button you will see that it has made an entry in the User or Group Page, here also click on the "OK" button.
Now this User/Group will be added to the sharing list, initially it will only have the Read option so you have to change the permission to Read/Write by choosing it form the drop down list.
