BACKUP
You log on and select the Central Admin web application to do a backup (SharePoint1001).

On the Central Administration select Operations:
In the Backup and Restore select Perform a backup:
Select Web Application (SharePoint1001) and database (SharePoint1001DB) to backup and select Continue to Backup Options.
Type of backup : Full
Backup location : save path (D: \ BackupSP => already exists or create)
Then select OK.
Then we wait for the backup in minutes depending on large or small applications.
After the successful backup interface as follows:
To check how many web site applications: Application Management | SharePoint Web Application Management; select the Content databases:
I saw two sites and after restoration, the site also has had two successful restores.
Then suppose we take a backup file to a different server, the web application to delete it and restore
Application Management | SharePoint Web Application Management select Delete Web application:
Choose the right web application to be deleted.
Delete content databases: Yes
Delete IIS Web sites: choose yes
We now access the application that will not be deleted because the web application
RESTORE
Divided into two phases:
- Create a web application and database having the same name as the web application and database from backup (SharePoint1001 and SharePoint1001DB)
- Restore to the Same configuration options
Create a web application and database having the same name as the web application and database from backup (SharePoint1001 and SharePoint1001DB)
Application Management | SharePoint Web Application Management select Create or extend Web application:
Next, select Create a new Web application
Configured as follows:
Select Create a new IIS web site | Description: SharePoint1001 (web application has the same name backup)
Port: 1001 (same port the original)
Application pool name: SharePoint1001Pool
User name: admin rights
Password: password of admin
Database Name: SharePoint1001DB
After you have successfully created and the following interface
Need to reset IIS: press windows + r and type in the box: iisreset / noforce and select OK
After IIS is reset is complete we begin Resore:
Operations | Backup and Restore select Restore from backup
Select path to the folder containing the backup file and click OK
:
Check the radio and select Backup Continue Restore Process
SharePoint Application select the newly created web application has the same name as the backup and click Continue Restore Process:
Type of restore: select Same configuration
Password: admin password
And select OK
We wait while the application is being restored:
After successful restore interface as follows:
Select the web application to check (SharePoint1001):
I check how many web site applications: Application Management | SharePoint Web Application Management select the Content databases:
I saw two sites and after restoration, the site also has two successful restores:
Thus we have completed the application webp Restore.
Access the application again.
