This article explains the Generate File Plan Report feature in SharePoint 2010.
SharePoint 2010 introduced a new feature called Generate File Plan Report. You can see this option in the list settings => Permissions and Management => Generate file plan report.
When you click on that option it will ask for the File location where the report is to be saved. Browse for the target list where you want to save the report and click Ok.
Go to the target list where you have saved your report; a new item will be created in the target list.
When you open the excel sheet in the Summary worksheet you will see the following details.
In the Folder Details worksheet you will see the following details.
In the Folder Details worksheet you will see the following details:
- Folder
- Path
- Number of items
- Unique permissions
- Retention Schedule
- Rules Routing into this folder
- Available content types
