As competition intensifies from new platforms like Bluesky and Threads, X has launched a new trend analysis tool called Radar. This tool is designed to provide subscribers with real-time insights into emerging trends and conversations happening on the platform.
Previously known as Insights, Radar was aimed primarily at Verified Organizations, enabling marketers to monitor topics and trends effectively. Subscribers can now perform keyword analytics, visualize trend activities, and filter conversations in real time. Beyond tracking conversation volume, Radar also measures conversation velocity, helping marketers understand trends better and optimize their posting strategies for maximum audience engagement.
While Insights had the potential to replace third-party trend-tracking tools, its steep price of $1,000 per month (or $833.33 with annual billing) made it inaccessible for smaller businesses.
Now rebranded as Radar, this trend analysis tool will start rolling out to Premium+ subscribers beginning Monday. This subscription tier offers additional features such as a verified checkmark, post-editing capabilities, and an ad-free experience for $16 per month or $168 per year when subscribed through the web.

In a recent post on X, the company announced that Radar will initially be available as an early version with further updates planned. However, access will be limited to select subscribers at this time.
Although the official announcement was made on Monday, some users had already noticed Radar's presence earlier this month, hinting at its enhanced search capabilities. Early users have reported improvements in the search algorithm but noted some limitations, such as the inability to search beyond three days. Suggestions for further enhancements include additional filtering options and integration with X Pro, the desktop application formerly known as TweetDeck.
