DRIVE Hyperion is the only complete platform for autonomous driving, which includes a system-on-a-chip (SoC), an operating system, sensors, and safety features. Leading car companies like Mercedes-Benz, JLR, and Volvo are using this modular platform, which can be easily upgraded and adapted to future technology.
The latest version of DRIVE Hyperion, available in the first half of the year, will use NVIDIA's powerful DRIVE AGX Thor SoC, based on the new NVIDIA Blackwell architecture. Jensen Huang, NVIDIA's CEO, said that autonomous vehicles will transform the world, and the NVIDIA Blackwell-powered platform is designed to lead this revolution, ensuring high safety and performance with AI.
Next-generation vehicles will be more software-driven, allowing for updates throughout their lifetime. NVIDIA's DRIVE Hyperion, developed with over 15,000 engineering years of expertise, will help ensure these advanced vehicles meet strict safety and cybersecurity standards.
NVIDIA has received certifications from trusted third-party organizations. TÜV SÜD certified NVIDIA for its cybersecurity processes, while TÜV Rheinland confirmed that NVIDIA DRIVE AV meets key safety standards. NVIDIA is also accredited to inspect the safety and cybersecurity of its DRIVE partners.
The DRIVE Thor, NVIDIA's latest core computer, is designed for demanding tasks such as AI and complex driving scenarios. It builds on the previous DRIVE Orin, allowing developers to use both past and future software with ease.
Along with the DRIVE AGX in-car computer, NVIDIA also uses two other systems: NVIDIA DGX for training AI and building software and NVIDIA Omniverse for simulation. These three systems, enhanced by the new NVIDIA Cosmos platform, will speed up the development and deployment of autonomous vehicles.
