Google Lens Voice Input Feature Launched

Google Lens

Google Lens now lets you ask questions about what you see using your voice. Just point your camera at something and speak your question. This is like asking a friend about something you see. It's especially helpful when you're out and about, like at a museum or on a walk.

Previously, you had to take a picture and type your question. Now, you can do it all at once, making it easier to explore the world around you.

To use voice input in Lens

  1. Open the Google app.
  2. Tap the camera icon.
  3. Point your camera at something.
  4. Hold the shutter button and ask your question.

Search Labs users can capture a video for more context by holding the shutter button.

After you ask your question, you'll see results that include an AI overview and links to relevant websites. You can also ask another question about the same photo.

Voice input for Lens is now available worldwide for English queries.
