Visualize Connections with the New Mind Map Feature
Google is announcing a suite of new features we’ve been gradually rolling out, designed specifically to help students tackle their upcoming finals. The new Mind Map feature helps students visualize how ideas are connected, making complex topics easier to understand. It creates interactive diagrams that allow users to zoom in on specific areas and click concepts to get summaries, improving comprehension and retention.

It simplifies the process of gathering resources for studying a specific subject or topic.
Understand Complex PDFs Full of Images and Graphs
We’ve listened to your feedback and made improvements to how NotebookLM understands PDFs. Now, it recognizes all content in PDFs, including images and graphs. This feature allows students to study complex documents more efficiently, making it easier to understand visuals and text in PDFs added as links or uploaded directly.
Enterprise-Grade Data Protection for Educational Institutions
NotebookLM now includes enterprise-grade data protection for educational institutions. It’s covered under existing Workspace for Education terms, ensuring compliance with industry regulations like FERPA. This gives educators and administrators peace of mind about using NotebookLM in their schools and universities.
