Google has officially launched the Google Developer Program premium membership, expanding its offerings to millions of developers who have already joined the standard program. Announced earlier this year at Google I/O, the premium membership is priced at $299 per year and provides a tailored suite of services designed to support developers throughout their learning, building, and deployment phases.

Additionally, members will receive a Google Cloud certification voucher to validate their skills and enhance their careers, along with unlimited access to the Cloud Skills Boost library, which features over 700 hands-on labs, skill badges, and courses. One of the standout benefits of the premium membership is the opportunity for 1:1 consultations with Google Cloud experts, providing personalized guidance on cloud solutions and cross-Google use cases
Moreover, developers who earn their first certification each year will receive an additional $500 in Google Cloud credits as a bonus. The new benefits complement the existing no-cost capabilities of the standard Google Developer Program, which includes AI developer assistance, additional Project IDX workspaces, and integration with Gemini in Android Studio. With a dedicated "Benefits" section added to the developer dashboard, premium members can easily access and manage their advantages.
This launch builds on the success of Google's previous Cloud Innovators Plus program and reflects the company's ongoing commitment to enhancing the developer experience.
As organizations increasingly rely on cloud technologies, the Google Developer Program premium membership aims to equip developers with the tools, resources, and support needed to thrive in today's dynamic development landscape.
