D2 Emerge, the publisher behind SD Times has announced its acquisition of CodeProject, a prominent community hub for software developers established in 1999. CodeProject has long served as a valuable resource, offering articles, tutorials, libraries, discussion forums, and more to its extensive user base.
David Lyman, co-founder and CEO of D2 Emerge, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “David Cunningham and co-founder Chris Maunder have created an incredible resource with CodeProject for software developers. We plan to continue investing in CodeProject to serve its more than 4 million users.”
As part of this transition, the CodeProject website is undergoing a redesign to enhance user experience while retaining the quality resources that developers have relied on for the past 25 years. D2 Emerge is committed to expanding the offerings available to developers and will continue publishing popular newsletters such as the Daily Insider, Daily Build, and Weekly Tech Trends.
David Rubinstein, co-founder and COO of D2 Emerge, noted the growing demand for easily accessible information: “Readers today don’t want to have to hunt for information that’s relevant to them. We’ve seen that emailed newsletters have grown in popularity. We’re excited about the opportunities this acquisition will open for us as we continue to expand our offerings to better serve the software development community.”
SD Times will maintain its operations as usual after over 20 years in the industry, while CodeProject will function as a dedicated division within D2 Emerge. This structure ensures that users can expect a consistent experience on SD Times.
