Postback Issues inside GridView TemplateField

i have a gridview in asp.net placed inside a div which is inside a update panel. In the gridview one of the columns contains combobox(ajax) in ItemTemplate. whenever I select this combobox a postback is performed. How to avoid this situation. Please help
