At Google, we are driven by a fundamental principle: "Focus on the user and all else will follow." User Experience Researchers (UXRs) play a crucial role in making this principle a reality.
Google's User Experience (UX) teams, comprised of designers, researchers, writers, strategists, program managers, and engineers, are dedicated to understanding and enhancing the experiences of our product users. Working closely with engineering and product management, the UX team gathers insights into user needs, attitudes, emotions, and behaviors to inspire and inform design decisions. Our goal is to create industry-leading products that deliver value and innovation.
As a User Experience Researcher (UXR), you will collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and engineers to uncover user insights at all stages of product development. Using a variety of research methods including field studies, interviews, surveys, and usability testing, you will explore user behaviors and motivations. Your findings will directly influence the creation of products that are not only useful and usable but also delightful for our users.
The UXR community at Google is dynamic and supportive, offering opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth. You will engage with UXRs across Google through meetups, mentorship programs, and access to cutting-edge research tools.
