Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Provide end-to-end technical support for the organization’s services.
- Monitor system performance, resolve operational issues, and ensure uninterrupted service.
- Proactively address problems to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance.
Incident Management
- Respond quickly to incidents, perform in-depth root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures.
- Document all incidents and resolutions, ensuring knowledge sharing across the team.
- Prioritize issues and escalate critical problems to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Change Management
- Collaborate with release managers to ensure the smooth execution of deployments.
- Conduct post-deployment reviews, identify lessons learned, and implement strategies to enhance future deployment processes.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
- Track key service performance metrics using advanced monitoring tools.
- Analyze performance trends and identify areas for system optimization and improvement.
- Develop strategies to enhance system reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
Collaboration & Integration
- Work closely with development, infrastructure, and quality assurance teams.
- Ensure seamless integration of applications with business objectives in mind.
- Support cross-functional initiatives to achieve operational excellence.
Qualifications
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Certifications
- ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification is mandatory.
- Additional certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS) are a plus.
Skills
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
Preferred Skills & Experience
ITIL Expertise
- In-depth understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
Monitoring Tools
- Hands-on experience with tools like Dynatrace, Sentry, Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, and GCP Operations Suite.
Cloud Technologies
- Proficiency in AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud environments.
Database Management
- Experience with databases such as Couchbase, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery tools to ensure system availability and data protection.
DevOps Practices
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and automation tools.
Containerization & Orchestration
- Proficiency in Kubernetes and related technologies.
SDLC Knowledge
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
