We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our Generative AI (GenAI) team within the Digital Technology Practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive documentation for cutting-edge Generative AI projects and applications. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product managers to ensure clear, accurate, and accessible documentation, enabling seamless development, deployment, and use of our advanced AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop & Maintain Technical Documentation. Create high-quality documentation for Generative AI projects, including user guides, API documentation, technical specifications, and system architecture overviews.
2. Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams. Work closely with engineers, data scientists, and product managers to understand complex AI systems, translating technical concepts into user-friendly documentation.
3. Tailor Documentation for Multiple Audiences. Ensure technical content is accessible to a variety of stakeholders, including developers, data scientists, and non-technical users, by creating clear and concise documentation.
4. Documentation Lifecycle Management. Oversee the documentation process from drafting through to final delivery. Regularly review and update materials to reflect changes in project requirements and technological advancements.
5. Standards & Consistency. Design and implement documentation standards, ensuring uniformity in style, terminology, and formatting across all technical content.
6. Educational Materials & User Onboarding. Create training guides and educational content that helps users and team members understand and effectively utilize AI technologies.
7. User Experience Integration. Collaborate with UX/UI teams to seamlessly integrate documentation into product interfaces, offering users in-app guidance and support.
8. Continuous Improvement. Conduct usability testing of documentation, gather user feedback, and make improvements to enhance the overall quality and effectiveness of the materials.
9. Stay Current on AI Trends. Continuously update documentation to reflect the latest trends and best practices in AI technology, ensuring accuracy and relevance.

Required Qualifications

1. Educational Background. Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications in technical writing or a Master’s degree is a plus.
2. Experience. 5+ years of experience in technical writing, with a strong preference for experience in AI, machine learning, or technology-related projects. Familiarity with Generative AI technologies is highly desirable.
3. Technical Expertise. A solid understanding of AI, machine learning, and data science concepts, with the ability to break down complex technical topics into clear, user-friendly documentation.
4. Proficiency in Documentation Tools. Hands-on experience with tools such as Markdown, Confluence, or similar. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a bonus.
5. Exceptional Writing & Editing Skills. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading capabilities, ensuring all documentation is accurate, clear, and consistent.
6. Collaboration & Communication. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, including engineers, data scientists, and product managers.
7. API & Software Documentation. Experience in creating and managing API documentation, as well as documentation for software systems and technical processes.
8. Organizational Skills. Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple documentation projects simultaneously.
