As a Technical Project Manager at PhonePe, you will play a pivotal role in leading and executing large-scale projects that impact millions of customers. You will manage cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality tech products and services, ensuring timely execution and seamless integration. Your role involves defining project scope, managing timelines, and driving collaboration across teams to ensure that our products deliver the best possible customer experience. You will have ownership of the complete quality process and metrics, ensuring the successful execution of every release.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Ownership. Own and maintain the quality of large features, products, and services from start to finish, managing everything from planning to execution.
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration. Work with teams across various functions, including engineering, product management, and quality assurance, to align goals and meet deadlines.
3. Leadership & Problem Solving. Lead by example, addressing complex challenges and providing guidance to team members, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
4. Stakeholder Management. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, notifying them about any delays, changes in release cycles, and sprint plans, while ensuring predictability in execution.
5. Agile Methodology. Drive Agile development practices, breaking down large features into smaller, manageable tasks and prioritizing them based on business needs and timelines.
6. Quality Assurance & Process Improvement. Ensure high-quality code and products by managing and improving testing processes, identifying bottlenecks, and finding solutions for runtime issues.
7. Test Automation & Performance. Oversee test automation for UI, Mobile applications, APIs, and Web, using tools like Selenium, Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, and Rest-Assured.
8. Risk & Change Management. Effectively cope with change, manage risks, and make quick adjustments to project plans as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
9. Continuous Improvement. Proactively identify areas for improvement within product test coverage, efficiency, and the overall development process.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Education. BTech, MTech, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields or equivalent practical experience.
2. Experience. 5+ years of software development and testing experience, with strong leadership and people management skills.

Technical Expertise

• Proficient in Automation for UI, Mobile (iOS, Android), API, Web, and Performance testing.
• Expertise in test automation frameworks (e.g., Espresso, XCUITest, Selenium, Rest-Assured, Locust).
• Strong coding skills in at least one object-oriented programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, Swift).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins).
• Familiarity with DevOps tools like Docker, Mesos, and Marathon.
• Experience in performance testing and handling non-functional testing requirements.

Soft Skills

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to advanced testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
• Experience managing large teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to adapt and switch between high-priority assignments.
• Experience with mobile app testing and managing end-to-end test coverage.
