The Ads Features and Data team is at the forefront of optimizing recommendation algorithms. We ensure the integrity of our data, build scalable event pipelines, develop monitoring dashboards, and leverage machine learning to enhance ad recommendations. Our focus is on delivering precise, relevant, and revenue-maximizing ad experiences to our users.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Design and Develop Systems. Create and enhance systems that deliver ad recommendations to over 300 million users.
2. Build and Maintain Pipelines. Develop scalable machine learning systems and pipelines for data processing, feature extraction, model training, and deployment.
3. Optimize Ad Prediction. Develop highly scalable feature pipelines that associate ads with users based on relevance, maximizing revenue for ShareChat.
4. Improve System Design. Enhance system architecture to ensure high stability and performance.
5. Create Monitoring Dashboards. Build dashboards to monitor the health of critical services and jobs related to ad suggestions.
6. Enhance Productivity. Contribute to modular code development, tools, libraries, and technical documentation.
7. Collaborate and Grow. Work with various teams to build tools and platforms that boost ML engineering productivity and support your professional growth.

Who We’re Looking For

1. Experience. 8+ years in developing large-scale consumer-facing applications.
2. Technical Skills. Strong fundamentals in computer science, with expertise in modern high-level programming languages such as Go, Python, NodeJS, C/C++, Java, or Scala.
3. Software Testing. Proven experience in automated software testing.
4. Cloud and Distributed Systems. Familiarity with cloud-based tools in Linux/Unix environments (GCP is a plus), distributed systems, and scalable data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Kafka). Experience with noSQL systems (e.g., HBase, Cassandra) and AI/ML is also beneficial.
5. Communication Skills. Excellent ability to communicate effectively.
