As a Software Backend Developer at IBM, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust backend systems. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Agile Methodologies. Adhere to agile software development processes to enhance project efficiency.
- User Story Analysis. Participate in identifying and analyzing user stories to align development with user needs.
- Collaboration. Work effectively with peers and other teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Supply Chain Knowledge. Understand critical supply chain practices and the dynamics of SaaS multi-tenant platforms.
- Quality Assurance. Deliver high-quality code while taking responsibility for validation through various testing methods.
- Troubleshooting and Support. Engage in troubleshooting and provide support for implementation activities, ensuring knowledge sharing across the team.
Required Technical Skills
- Java Development. At least 2 years of experience in Java development, especially with the Spring Boot framework.
- Operating Systems. Proficiency in both Linux and Windows server environments.
- Containerization. Strong knowledge of container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Database Proficiency. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, particularly DB2 and Couchbase.
Preferred Qualifications
- EDI Knowledge. Familiarity with EDI software infrastructures.
- Distributed Systems. Understanding of distributed systems and SaaS infrastructure.
- Automation Tools. Experience with automation and monitoring tools.
- Protocol Standards. Knowledge of protocols like FTP(S), SFTP, HTTP(S), and Web Services.
- MSMQ/ASP.NET. Additional knowledge in MSMQ and ASP.NET is advantageous.
