We are looking for a detail-oriented ServiceNow QA Tester with a solid background in testing and quality assurance for ServiceNow applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing test strategies, executing tests, tracking defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless and efficient ServiceNow implementations. Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy Development. Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases tailored to the specific requirements of ServiceNow applications, ensuring they align with project goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Execution of Tests. Conduct a variety of tests, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing, to validate that the ServiceNow applications meet performance and quality standards.
- Defect Tracking. Identify, document, and manage software defects using appropriate defect tracking tools. Ensure timely follow-up and re-testing for resolution.
- Collaboration. Partner closely with developers and other stakeholders to fully understand requirements and provide insights that contribute to a robust testing approach.
- Root Cause Analysis. Perform root cause analysis for defects and work with the development team to resolve underlying issues effectively.
- Automation. Create and maintain automated test cases using suitable tools and frameworks, driving efficiency and consistency in testing processes.
- Quality Assurance. Ensure adherence to established quality standards and best practices to maintain a high level of quality across all ServiceNow applications.
- Reporting. Regularly update stakeholders on the testing status and provide comprehensive test reports, highlighting any risks, blockers, or critical defects.
- Continuous Improvement. Stay updated on new ServiceNow features, releases, and industry advancements to improve testing methodologies and keep testing approaches up to date.
Required Qualifications
- Educational Background. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional Experience. Minimum of 3 years in software testing, particularly within ServiceNow applications.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in test automation tools and frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, best practices, and test management.
- Exceptional analytical skills for problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or equivalent certification.
- Domain Expertise. Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.
