Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented ServiceNow QA Tester with a solid background in testing and quality assurance for ServiceNow applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing test strategies, executing tests, tracking defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless and efficient ServiceNow implementations. Key Responsibilities

  1. Test Strategy Development. Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases tailored to the specific requirements of ServiceNow applications, ensuring they align with project goals and stakeholder expectations.
  2. Execution of Tests. Conduct a variety of tests, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing, to validate that the ServiceNow applications meet performance and quality standards.
  3. Defect Tracking. Identify, document, and manage software defects using appropriate defect tracking tools. Ensure timely follow-up and re-testing for resolution.
  4. Collaboration. Partner closely with developers and other stakeholders to fully understand requirements and provide insights that contribute to a robust testing approach.
  5. Root Cause Analysis. Perform root cause analysis for defects and work with the development team to resolve underlying issues effectively.
  6. Automation. Create and maintain automated test cases using suitable tools and frameworks, driving efficiency and consistency in testing processes.
  7. Quality Assurance. Ensure adherence to established quality standards and best practices to maintain a high level of quality across all ServiceNow applications.
  8. Reporting. Regularly update stakeholders on the testing status and provide comprehensive test reports, highlighting any risks, blockers, or critical defects.
  9. Continuous Improvement. Stay updated on new ServiceNow features, releases, and industry advancements to improve testing methodologies and keep testing approaches up to date.

Required Qualifications

  1. Educational Background. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Professional Experience. Minimum of 3 years in software testing, particularly within ServiceNow applications.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, best practices, and test management.
  • Exceptional analytical skills for problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Certifications. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or equivalent certification.
  2. Domain Expertise. Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.
  3. Frameworks. Familiarity with ITIL best practices.
