Job Description

As a Senior Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Google Cloud, you will help guide customers through the adoption of Google Cloud products, leading them on their journey to Google Cloud transformation. You will be responsible for managing Cloud Consulting engagements, ensuring the successful delivery of services, and driving customer adoption of Google Cloud products.

You will work with a cross-functional and geographically dispersed team and engage with leadership from enterprise customers. In this role, your expertise in customer-facing engagements and technical problem-solving will be critical as you work to accelerate customer cloud adoption and help solve their most important business problems.

Responsibilities

  1. Accelerate Cloud Adoption. Lead customers through their Google Cloud adoption journey. Provide technical guidance, manage timelines, set milestones, and help customers achieve their business transformation goals.
  2. Customer Advocacy. Serve as the advocate for your customers, identifying blockers in their adoption process and driving the development of new features to meet their needs.
  3. Stakeholder Relationships. Build and develop relationships with customer stakeholders. Understand their business needs, create strategic roadmaps, and lead executive sessions and quarterly business reviews.
  4. Collaboration. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Support, Developers, and Site Reliability Engineers, to plan for customer events, launches, and resolve any issues or escalations.
  5. Best Practices & Asset Development. Develop best practices, create reusable assets, and apply learnings from customer engagements to scale and accelerate Google Cloud adoption through partners.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Development, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, managing technical implementations or transformation programs, including cloud operations (e.g., launch, capacity planning, product release management), technical support, escalation management, or IT consulting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Management, Technical, or Development fields.
  • Experience in collaborating with teams, business units, channel partners, and third-party developers to deliver impactful solutions.
  • Expertise in translating business requirements into effective technological solutions.
  • Experience in application or workload migration to public cloud providers.
  • Deep understanding of IT operations, database systems, networking, IT security, application development, service architecture, and cloud-native application development.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, problem-solving, and client management skills.
