We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in driving the design and development of robust, scalable, and efficient data engineering solutions. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in database design, data pipeline creation, and cloud-based technologies to deliver actionable insights and data solutions that align with business objectives. Key Roles & Responsibilities

Data Engineering and Design

• Design and implement data lakes and data warehouses to support business intelligence and analytics.
• Develop and maintain relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring optimized performance and scalability.
• Create robust data pipelines on AWS for on-cloud ETL processing, including copy activities and custom development.
• Design and manage data entities in AWS services such as RDS, Redshift, and AWS Glue Jobs.

Cloud Integration and Development

• Build and optimize AWS-native data solutions, utilizing tools such as AWS Lambda, Secrets Manager, and S3.
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment and integration.
• Leverage Azure Cloud knowledge for hybrid or multi-cloud environments when required.

Programming and Data Modelling

• Utilize programming expertise in Python, Scala, or similar languages to develop data transformation processes.
• Perform complex data modeling to design and implement solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Develop, optimize, and manage SQL stored procedures, functions, and other database transformations.

Collaboration and Communication

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Ensure seamless communication of project status, technical challenges, and outcomes to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.

Operational Excellence

• Maintain high standards of data integrity, security, and availability.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data engineering and cloud technologies.
• Proactively identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• Extensive hands-on experience in data engineering with a proven track record of database design and implementation.
• Proficiency in designing and managing AWS data pipelines, data entities, and services like RDS, Redshift, and AWS Glue Jobs.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, including AWS Lambda, Secrets Manager, EC2, and S3.
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or similar, and SQL development for stored procedures and transformations.

Cloud & Data Tools

• Experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and relational database management.
• Knowledge of Azure Cloud technologies and hybrid environments is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with tools and practices for CI/CD pipeline management.

Interpersonal Skills

• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Team-oriented approach with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently when needed.
