As a Senior Consultant (React JS) at Infosys, you will be at the forefront of building impactful and scalable web applications, with a strong emphasis on innovation and quality. You will be engaged in shaping high-performance front-end solutions, particularly for our clients in the banking domain, ensuring seamless user experiences and robust backend integrations. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including clients, team members, and cross-functional departments, to deliver world-class solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Work alongside clients and business analysts to understand and refine technical requirements, ensuring the solutions align with business objectives.
• Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications, ensuring that every feature is well-defined before development.
• Lead the design and architectural decisions for complex web applications, considering scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Develop reusable, high-quality React components and custom libraries to streamline the development process and ensure consistency across the project.
• Ensure user-centric design by collaborating with UI/UX teams, maintaining a keen focus on creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs that communicate efficiently between the front-end and backend components.
• Be an active participant in Agile ceremonies (Sprint planning, retrospectives, daily standups) to ensure the project remains on track and that development milestones are met.
• Foster a collaborative environment by providing feedback, ensuring that the development process is iterative and continuously improving.
• Provide guidance to junior developers, helping them improve their technical skills and achieve their career goals.
• Take ownership of the quality of work delivered by the team, ensuring that industry best practices for code quality, design patterns, and testing are followed.
• Drive innovation by researching and incorporating the latest technologies and best practices in React, front-end development, and cloud technologies.
• Regularly review and improve development processes to enhance efficiency, reduce technical debt, and increase system reliability.
• Engage with clients to provide technical insights and drive conversations around new features, product improvements, and optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues reported by clients, ensuring a smooth user experience and fast resolution of problems.

Skills / Competencies

1. IT Experience. Over 8 years of experience in IT, with a strong foundation of 3+ years in React JS development and 3+ years in UI/UX or API development.
2. Proficiency in Front-End Development. Deep expertise in React JS, Redux, Angular JS, Flex, JavaScript, jQuery, and other modern web technologies for building dynamic user interfaces.
3. UI Development Skills. Strong knowledge in HTML5, CSS3, SASS, LESS, and JSON, along with experience in responsive and mobile-first design.
4. MEAN Stack Knowledge. Hands-on experience working with MongoDB, Express, Angular, and Node.js, as well as other back-end technologies like Java and J2EE (Spring, Hibernate, REST).
5. Agile & Scrum Proficiency. Expertise in Agile development practices and exposure to SCRUM-based environments, ensuring smooth, iterative, and efficient project delivery.
6. Custom React Components. Ability to build modular, reusable components with React, as well as proficiency with React Flux architecture and Redux for state management.
7. Backend Technologies & Databases. Strong understanding of RESTful services, SOAP, and database management systems, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle, and SQL Server.

Preferred

1. Advanced Web Technologies. Familiarity with Node.js, GitHub, Angular JS, and Express JS is an added advantage, enabling full-stack development capability.
2. Modern Development Tools. Proficiency with development and debugging tools like WebStorm, Sublime Text, Dreamweaver, Firebug, Bugzilla, and Chrome Developer Tools.
3. Servers and Deployment. Experience with Apache Tomcat, WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, or similar web application servers to manage and deploy applications effectively.
4. Testing Tools. Experience in test-driven development (TDD) and using testing frameworks such as JUnit, Jasmine, Selenium, Jest, and LoadRunner for quality assurance and performance testing.
5. Development Methodologies. Familiarity with Rational Unified Process (RUP), UML, and Waterfall methodologies, in addition to Agile, is beneficial.
