As a Principal Product Manager on the Ordering Systems team, you will help shape the future of Expedia Group’s Order Management Platform. This platform is critical in powering Expedia’s pre- and post-booking experiences, serving millions of travelers globally. You’ll be responsible for defining and delivering the product roadmap, launching new features, and continuously improving the platform to meet traveler and partner needs.
What You’ll Do
- Lead a diverse team of product managers. Build and manage a team with deep expertise in the Orders Platform, growing talent and developing successors for key roles.
- Shape the product vision. Develop and communicate a clear strategic vision for the Orders Platform, aligning teams and stakeholders around delivering value for travelers and partners.
- Drive product lifecycle. Own the product roadmap, manage the backlog, and prioritize initiatives based on customer needs and business goals. Ensure seamless communication across product and engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Partner with stakeholders. Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to gather insights and define product requirements. Coordinate with engineering to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of features.
- Measure success. Work with analytics teams to establish KPIs, track product performance, and use data to inform product decisions. Implement a “test and learn” approach to optimize ROI on features and enhancements.
Who You Are
- 10+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology.
- Leadership skills. Proven experience in recruiting, developing, and leading high-performing teams. You thrive in a ‘player-coach’ role, balancing hands-on product management with leadership responsibilities.
- Experience with platform products. A track record of designing, launching, and managing platform products, ideally in an eCommerce or marketplace setting.
- Analytical mindset. Strong ability to use data to back up decisions, measure success, and optimize product impact.
- Cross-functional collaboration. Proven ability to work across multiple teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Strategic thinker. Ability to think big and execute methodically, managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Superior communication skills. Able to present product visions and progress to executives (including C-level leaders), clearly articulating value and impact.
- Passion for travel. A genuine enthusiasm for travel and solving hard problems in the industry, bringing new, innovative solutions to market.
