Job Description

As a Partner Solutions Architect at AWS, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on building strong relationships with AWS partners. You will work closely with AWS Managed Systems Integrators and solution providers to help them integrate and leverage AWS cloud services in innovative ways. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy both technical challenges and building strategic relationships with partners to influence and drive cloud adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead Technical Engagements. Be the technical lead for AWS partner engagements, guiding partners through the process of developing and implementing solutions using AWS services.
  2. Architectural Guidance. Provide expert advice on system design, integration, and best practices for cloud-based architectures. Ensure that AWS services are utilized effectively to meet the business needs of AWS’s partners.
  3. Co-Design Solutions. Collaborate with partners to co-develop new offerings tailored to solving customer challenges and expanding AWS usage across diverse industries.
  4. Promote AWS Services. Champion the use of AWS products through external engagements such as summits, workshops, and product launches, demonstrating AWS's capabilities to new audiences.
  5. Nurture Partner Relationships. Establish and maintain long-term relationships with AWS partners, ensuring their technical needs are met and fostering mutual growth on the AWS platform.
  6. Enhance Partner Competencies. Work with partners to build and improve their technical competency with AWS services, creating better solutions and driving sales.
  7. Best Practices Sharing. Capture key learnings and success stories from partner engagements, sharing these insights with AWS's broader Solutions Architect community to drive continuous improvement across AWS’s partner ecosystem.

Business and Customer Transformation

  1. Transform Business Through Cloud. Help partners transform their business processes by introducing innovative cloud solutions. Guide them on how to integrate cloud technologies into their offerings to enhance value for their customers.
  2. Customer-Focused Technical Leadership. Take a customer-centric approach to all engagements, ensuring AWS solutions address the unique challenges and business needs of each partner.

Evangelism and Advocacy

  1. Promote AWS Leadership in Cloud Computing. Actively advocate for AWS as the cloud platform of choice, educating partners on how to leverage the full suite of AWS services.
  2. Facilitate Learning and Development. Organize and lead training sessions, workshops, and events that help AWS partners stay up-to-date with the latest AWS products, tools, and services.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  1. Strong Technical Expertise. In-depth understanding of cloud computing, software architectures, and infrastructure, and experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc. You should have a solid technical foundation to solve complex problems and provide architectural guidance.
  2. Consultative Mindset. The ability to think strategically about how cloud technologies can address complex business needs, and the communication skills to translate these strategies into actionable plans for partners.
  3. Excellent Collaboration Skills. Comfortable working with cross-functional teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners. Your communication skills should enable you to collaborate effectively with both technical and business teams.
  4. Leadership Abilities. You should have the capacity to influence others, lead technical discussions, and advocate for the adoption of AWS solutions across a wide range of organizations and industries.

Basic Qualifications

  1. Extensive Experience. At least 8 years in technology-focused roles, such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, networking, data & analytics, or security.
  2. Consulting/Implementation Background. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with designing and implementing cloud-based solutions or providing technical consulting in a similar role.
  3. Broad IT Experience. Over 10 years of experience in IT development, consulting, or systems architecture, particularly within cloud or internet industries.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Expertise in Infrastructure Architecture. Over 5 years of hands-on experience designing infrastructure solutions, databases, networking, and security architecture for large-scale enterprises.
  2. SAP Systems Knowledge. Experience with SAP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP Business Warehouse) and understanding of their unique cloud infrastructure needs and challenges.
  3. Engagement with End Users or Developer Communities. Experience working with customers or developers in helping them adopt cloud solutions and advocating for new technologies to improve business outcomes.
