Infosys is seeking an experienced Technical Test Lead with expertise in Mobile Automation Testing to lead a team in developing and executing robust automation frameworks and test strategies for mobile and web applications. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in automation tools, such as Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, and Rest Assured, and be skilled at managing automation testing for both UI and API layers.

As a Technical Test Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end testing lifecycle, mentoring team members, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that the highest quality standards are met. You will contribute to the creation of solutions for QA proposals, ensure effective test execution, and manage defect reporting and resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, create, and implement test strategies and plans aligned with project requirements.
• Work closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and other test leads to identify key project requirements and ensure that the test strategy meets the expected quality standards.
• Lead the test execution process by ensuring timely completion of test scripts, tracking progress, and addressing issues in a timely manner.
• Manage defect reporting, tracking, and resolution to ensure that defects are identified, addressed, and communicated effectively.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium, Appium, Rest Assured, and other testing tools for UI and API testing.
• Ensure that frameworks are scalable, reusable, and maintainable over time.
• Leverage BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) using Cucumber or similar tools to create comprehensive test scenarios.
• Lead and mentor a geographically distributed team (onshore/offshore) of automation testers, guiding them in automation best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members and foster a collaborative environment that supports continuous learning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations teams to align test strategies and ensure quality at every stage of the development lifecycle.
• Act as a liaison between the testing team and senior leadership to communicate project status, risks, and challenges.
• Contribute to the creation of solutions and approaches for proposals, working with the business development team to outline QA strategies for prospective clients.
• Develop and present solutions that address client needs, providing technical insights and recommendations.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and techniques, and identify opportunities to improve testing processes, tools, and frameworks.
• Promote and drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies like AI/ML-driven testing, RPA, and analytics-driven testing.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in automation testing for UI and API using tools such as Selenium (Java), Rest Assured, and Postman.
• Expertise in Mobile Automation using Appium, Headspin, and other mobile automation frameworks.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks that are scalable, reusable, and easily maintainable.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, Perl, Shell scripting, and PL/SQL.
• Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo and version control tools like GitHub, Bitbucket.
• Solid understanding of BDD (Behavior Driven Development) and TDD (Test Driven Development) using frameworks like Cucumber, Serenity, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with project management and defect tracking tools like JIRA, ALM, Rally, etc.
• Demonstrated experience leading a geographically distributed team of testers.
• Ability to mentor and provide guidance to junior testers, ensuring high standards of test execution and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and proactively address concerns during the test phase.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify defects, analyze issues, and recommend effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications in automation testing is a plus.
• 6-10 years of experience in the Information Technology sector, specifically in Automation Testing for web and mobile applications.
• At least 3-4 years of hands-on experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks for mobile applications.

Certifications (Optional)

• Relevant certifications in Test Automation, Agile, or QA methodologies are an advantage.
