Job Description

As a Lead Technical Writer (Senior Manager), you will be instrumental in crafting high-quality learning experiences that align with Axtria’s product offerings and business goals. Working closely with product management, engineering teams, and external stakeholders, you will ensure that our documentation effectively supports our products and services. This role requires a blend of technical writing expertise, leadership, and a deep understanding of user needs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Content Creation. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including feature guides, release notes, API docs, training materials, and more. Ensure content is clear, concise, and accessible for customers, partners, and internal teams.
  2. Product Knowledge. Gain deep product knowledge through research and collaboration with SMEs, and use this understanding to produce high-quality documentation.
  3. Technical Writing. Document complex technical topics in an easily understood manner using tools like Confluence, SharePoint, and Wiki.
  4. Team Leadership. Build and enforce writing standards, processes, and best practices. Hire, mentor, and collaborate with other technical writers to enhance team performance.
  5. Content Management. Contribute to the development and optimization of our content management system.
  6. User-Centric Approach. Emphasize a user-focused approach in all content, prioritizing customer needs over system functionalities.
  7. Standards Setting. Establish and uphold standards for technical publications to meet modern enterprise B2B expectations.
  8. Continuous Improvement. Participate in content reviews and help shape the direction of technical publications.

Required Skills and Experience

  1. Education. Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
  2. Experience. 15+ years of experience in developing technical publications for B2B/SaaS products.
  3. Technical Proficiency. Proficiency in HTML and content management tools.
  4. Team Management. Extensive experience in team handling and management.
  5. Methodology Knowledge. Familiarity with Agile methodology and modern technical publication toolsets.
  6. Writing Skills. Excellent writing skills with a focus on information hierarchy, sentence structure, and a conversational yet professional tone.
  7. Audience Analysis. Strong ability to analyze audience needs and communicate technical information effectively.
  8. Portfolio. A portfolio showcasing writing samples that demonstrate a modern, conversational approach to technical content.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Environment Experience. Experience working in fast-paced and Agile environments, including Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
  2. Business Acumen. Demonstrated ability to measure and evaluate the impact of your work against business and customer experience goals.
