The Lead Administrator is responsible for providing significant technical expertise in architecture planning and design across various platforms, databases, middleware, and backup systems. This role involves managing day-to-day operations to ensure high availability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture Planning. Support architecture planning, migration, and installation for new projects within the relevant tower (platform, database, middleware, backup).
- Design Leadership. Lead the structural and architectural design of platforms, middleware, databases, and backup solutions based on system requirements to ensure scalability and extensibility.
- Capacity Planning. Conduct technology capacity planning to review current and future requirements, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Performance Optimization. Review technical performance metrics, implement improvements, and fine-tune systems to enhance efficiency.
- Day-to-Day Operations. Manage daily operations, troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and develop solutions to prevent future occurrences.
- Upgrade Management. Plan and manage upgrades, migrations, maintenance, backup, installation, and configuration functions.
- Disaster Recovery. Strategize and implement disaster recovery plans, alongside backup and recovery protocols.
Team Management
- Resource Forecasting. Anticipate talent requirements based on current and future business needs, hiring suitable resources for the team.
- Training and Development. Ensure 100% compliance with onboarding and training standards to enhance team capability and effectiveness.
- Performance Reviews. Set goals for direct reportees, conduct performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
- Stakeholder Interaction
- Internal Stakeholders. Collaborate with Technology Solutions Group, BU teams, and various infrastructure teams to understand requirements and resolve issues.
- External Stakeholders. Engage with clients and vendors for understanding requirements, planning, and issue resolution.
