Job Description

As the Enterprise Risk Manager, you will be pivotal in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across PhonePe. You will develop a comprehensive enterprise risk management framework that supports strategic decision-making and ensures compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Risk Framework Development. Design and maintain a robust enterprise risk management framework integrated into the organization’s activities and decision-making processes.
  2. Risk Assessment. Identify and assess risks across various areas, including business operations, technology, compliance, and strategy.
  3. Mitigation Strategies. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks, collaborating with stakeholders to establish effective controls.
  4. Monitoring & Reporting. Continuously monitor key risks, update risk registers, and prepare reports for senior leadership, highlighting emerging risks and mitigation effectiveness.
  5. Stakeholder Collaboration. Work closely with department heads to identify risks specific to their areas and assist in developing mitigation plans.
  6. Compliance Alignment. Ensure alignment between risk management and compliance efforts, tracking regulatory changes and integrating them into risk assessments.
  7. Cultural Development. Promote a culture of risk management within the organization, providing guidance and training to enhance awareness and accountability.

Qualifications

  1. Educational Background. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business management, finance, or law. Relevant certifications in ERM, PRM, CRM, or ORM are desirable.
  2. Experience. 5–8 years of experience in compliance, audit, or enterprise risk management, preferably in financial services.
  3. Skills. Strong analytical and communication skills, with proficiency in Excel and SQL. Familiarity with GRC tools such as ServiceNow is a plus.
  4. Detail-Oriented. Highly detail-oriented with excellent time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  5. Interpersonal Skills. Strong communication and influencing skills to establish credibility and partnerships with senior leaders.
