Key Responsibilities

Automation and Orchestration

• Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.
• Automate deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications leveraging Kubernetes or similar technologies.

System Optimization and Support

• Optimize existing systems for scalability and resilience.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud-based and on-premises systems.

Collaboration and Project Management

• Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate new deployment processes and strategies.
• Coordinate with IT staff to define infrastructure and software requirements.

Monitoring and Security

• Implement and manage monitoring solutions to ensure high availability and proactive issue resolution.
• Uphold system security through best practices and participation in security audits.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to development and deployment processes.
• Document and refine development, test, and production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
• Strong expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and other container management solutions.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and understanding of cloud architecture.
• Solid grasp of Linux/Unix Administration and best practices in high-availability service operations.
• Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
