As a Web Administrator at Infogain, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining high-performance web applications and hosting environments. This role involves troubleshooting performance issues, conducting application health checks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quick resolutions. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the scalability, availability, and security of our web services, making you an integral part of our operations.

Core Responsibilities

1. Web Application Management. Oversee and maintain web application servers to ensure continuous high performance and availability.
2. Server Configuration & Management. Configure and manage various web servers, including Apache, Nginx, and IIS, ensuring they are optimized for performance.
3. Monitoring & Troubleshooting. Monitor server logs, performance metrics, and error reports to proactively identify and resolve issues.
4. Maintenance & Backups. Perform regular backups, updates, and maintenance tasks to ensure data integrity and system security.
5. Collaboration. Work closely with developers to optimize website performance, resolve technical issues, and ensure thorough testing of hosting infrastructure.
6. Documentation. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for hosting infrastructure and procedures.
7. On-Call Support. Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support and incident response.
8. Infrastructure Improvement. Contribute to the enhancement of the overall architecture and design of the hosting infrastructure.
9. Continuous Learning. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve hosting and web development practices.

Desired Skills & Experience

1. Educational Background. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience. A minimum of 12 years of experience in hosting administration, with strong expertise in Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments.

Technical Proficiency

1. Web Servers. Extensive experience with two or more web servers like Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, Nginx, or IIS.
2. Database Management. Proficiency in MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or MS SQL Server.
3. Networking Fundamentals. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and other networking principles.
4. DevOps & CI/CD. Experience with CI/CD tools like Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, and containerization platforms like Kubernetes/OCP.
5. Soft Skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication, and effective collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

1. Advanced Education. Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Containerization & Cloud Platforms. Experience with containerization using Redhat OpenShift and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
3. DevOps Expertise. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Ansible.
4. Scripting Languages. Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell.
5. Project Management. Experience with agile project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
6. Certifications. ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent experience is a plus.
