As a DB Specialist, you will have the ultimate responsibility for physical and applicative database administration activities, supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of products from a database perspective.

What will your job look like?

1. Physical Support. Responsible for the physical and technical aspects such as storage, security, networking, and more.
2. Application Support. Handle all application-related issues, including queries, users, and embedded SQLs.
3. Resource Management. Ensure database resources are accurately sized and develop strategies to maintain healthy database sizes.
4. Performance Management. Ensure the availability and performance of multi-database and application environments with very large volumes and sizes.
5. Collaboration. Work closely with developers to assist with database structure design based on business needs, such as indexes, constraints, and integrity.
6. Internal Tools. Utilize Amdocs internal tools for database maintenance and day-to-day activities.
7. Environment Setup. Interact and work with multiple infrastructure and IT teams for environment setup, maintenance, and support.
8. Routine DBA Tasks. Perform routine DBA tasks like database maintenance, backups, recovery, table space management, upgrades, etc.

All you need is...

1. Experience. At least 3 years’ experience as a DBA in a large environment with Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c RAC, and ASM - database management and architecture.
2. Desirable Skills. Experience as a PostgreSQL DBA or Cloudera Hadoop Admin.
3. Technical Skills. Ability to work with Linux/Unix based OS Environment.
4. Project Experience. Experience in working with large scale projects and databases is highly advantageous.
5. Systems Knowledge. Extensive knowledge of operating systems and network architecture.
6. Automation. Experience in automating day-to-day activities.
