As a Senior Data Scientist, you will apply advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business challenges, acting as a subject matter expert. Education & Experience
- A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Typically 6-10 years of relevant experience, including graduate or postgraduate research.
Knowledge & Skills
- Data Science Expertise. Extensive experience in utilizing statistics, mathematics, algorithms, and programming languages to solve complex big data challenges.
- Data Management. Proficiency in both structured and unstructured data management, including modern data transformation methodologies.
- Modeling & Analysis. Ability to define and create complex models that uncover valuable insights and predictions from data.
- Machine Learning & Deep Learning. Expertise in machine learning algorithms (e.g., Decision Trees, Random Forest, Naïve Bayes, PCA) and deep learning architectures (e.g., CNN, RNN, ResNet).
- Mathematical & Statistical Techniques. Strong knowledge of matrices, calculus, linear algebra, probability, and statistical methods such as regression and hypothesis testing.
- Programming Proficiency. Fluency in Python and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and SciKit-Learn, as well as experience with deep learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch).
- SQL & Data Tools. Strong knowledge of SQL, Excel, and Access (including arrays and VBA).
- Communication Skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights effectively to senior management.
