As a Data Engineer at Accenture, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust data solutions for data generation, collection, and processing. You will leverage Google BigQuery to build scalable data pipelines, ensure data quality, and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to enable seamless data migration and deployment across various systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Solutions Design. Design, develop, and maintain data solutions that support the generation, collection, and processing of data using Google BigQuery.
- ETL Processes. Implement efficient ETL processes to migrate, transform, and deploy data across systems, ensuring data integrity and quality throughout the workflow.
- Data Pipeline Development. Create and optimize data pipelines that ensure seamless flow and accessibility of data, supporting real-time and batch processing needs.
- Collaborate Across Teams. Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., business analysts and data scientists) to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs and objectives.
- Data Documentation. Develop and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and other technical documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity of data processes.
- Data Security & Privacy. Implement industry-standard data security and privacy measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Performance Tuning. Optimize query performance and ensure efficient data storage and retrieval to support high-scale operations and business insights.
Must-Have Skills
- Proficiency in Google BigQuery. Deep experience in using Google BigQuery for designing data models, writing complex queries, and optimizing data storage and processing.
- ETL Tools. Experience with ETL tools like Apache NiFi or Talend is beneficial.
- Database Skills. Strong proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Data Integration Concepts. Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration concepts.
- Cloud Platforms. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or similar.
- Data Security. Knowledge of best practices for data security and privacy measures, especially for sensitive data in a cloud environment.
Ideal Candidate. The ideal candidate will be an individual who is highly motivated, collaborative and has a proven track record in data engineering. You should have hands-on experience in using Google BigQuery and working in cloud-based data environments. Your experience in designing data solutions and optimizing data pipelines will allow you to make significant contributions to Accenture’s data-driven projects and initiatives.
