HTC, formerly known as High Tech Computer Corporation, is a Taiwanese consumer electronics company founded in 1997 by Cher Wang, HT Cho, and Peter Chou. Initially, HTC started as an original design manufacturer (ODM), producing devices for other companies. Later, it transitioned into designing and manufacturing its own branded products, primarily smartphones and tablets.
