Key Responsibilities

• Gather functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholders through workshops, interviews, and other methods.
• Create detailed functional specification documents and develop business process flows, data flows, and processing workflows.
• Utilize your strong background in payment transaction flows, including expertise in channels to SWIFT, financial institutions, and ISO 20022 standards.
• Deep understanding of MT/MX message structures and experience with cross-border and wire payments.
• Work in an Agile environment to support project requirements, including defining and validating solutions.
• Test solutions to ensure they meet project requirements and objectives.
• Facilitate meetings and interviews, and effectively communicate requirements to sponsors, stakeholders, and project team members.
• Develop effort estimations for requirements elicitation activities and support the technology team in verifying solutions.
• Investigate and assist in resolving defects or issues related to the implementation of technology solutions.
• Provide support and guidance to other team members as needed.
• Utilize tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Office, and MS Visio for project documentation and management.
• Leverage APIs/Microservices, understand API specifications, and use tools like Postman for API requests and responses.

Basic Qualifications

1. Experience. Minimum of 5 years as a Business Systems Analyst with strong expertise in creating User Stories, System Requirements, Data Mapping, Analysis, and Modeling.
2. Payments Knowledge. Proven expertise in payment transaction flows, SWIFT, ISO 20022, MT/MX message structures, and cross-border/wire payments.
3. Agile Environment. Experience working in an Agile setting.
4. Mainframe Experience. At least one project experience involving mainframe systems.
5. Technical Skills. Proficient in executing database queries, understanding ERD and business logic, and working knowledge of System Context Diagrams, Flow/Sequence Diagrams, Use Case Diagrams, JIRA, Confluence, MS Office, and MS Visio.
6. API/Microservices. Familiarity with API specifications, REST API requests and responses, JSON syntax, and tools like Postman.
7. Client Interaction. Ability to manage delivery, support, and executive expectations, with a requirement to attend client sites in Toronto, ON for at least 2 days per week.
