Responsibilities

1. Software Development. Lead hands-on software engineering activities including proof of concepts (POCs), design, development, documentation, and testing of new functionalities.
2. Problem Solving. Design and refactor software solutions to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability.
3. Team Collaboration. Mentor junior developers, provide technical guidance, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
4. Technological Expertise. Utilize Java 8 or higher, Spring, Spring Boot, and REST-based frameworks to develop scalable and real-time applications.
5. Infrastructure and Tools. Utilize tools like Maven, NPM, Git, Bitbucket, and JIRA for efficient development and project management.
6. Flexibility. Adapt to evolving project needs, switching tasks as required to support team goals.

Qualifications

1. Experience. 4+ years in application development using Java, with hands-on experience in Spring, Spring Boot, or similar frameworks.
2. Skills. Proficiency in relational databases, ability to construct effective data models, and familiarity with infrastructure components such as Tomcat and Apache/Nginx.
3. Communication. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively and guide junior team members through challenges.
4. Additional Skills. Experience with Kubernetes for developing scalable platforms and knowledge of streaming pipelines like Kafka are advantageous.
