Visa is seeking a skilled and motivated Automation & Functional Testing Engineer to join the PPD Profile Test Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing testing solutions for a range of applications. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality deliverables by driving automation testing efforts, participating in code reviews, and developing new internal tools. Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Assurance Testing. Perform integration, systems, and regression testing, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and defect-free product delivery.
2. Automation Development. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, and Cucumber for regression testing.
3. Test Planning & Strategy. Design and implement effective test plans and strategies using industry best practices to ensure product quality.
4. Defect Management. Log and track defects in Visa’s standard defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA), collaborating with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
5. Collaborative Design & Reviews. Engage in design reviews, providing valuable input on functional requirements, designs, and schedules to mitigate potential issues.
6. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support. Support UAT efforts by assisting in data setup and other related activities.
7. Continuous Improvement. Drive improvements in tools, processes, and quality goals, ensuring the success of automation initiatives.
8. Stakeholder Engagement. Collaborate effectively with upstream and downstream teams, including developers, architects, and product owners, to align testing strategies and reduce product risks throughout the SDLC.

Qualifications

1. Education. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a relevant field with 4+ years of experience, or an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA) with more than 2 years of relevant work experience.
2. Experience. 4+ years of experience in functional and non-functional testing of applications, with significant expertise in test automation using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, and Cucumber.
3. Technical Expertise. Strong coding skills in Java, with experience building automation frameworks for complex UI Automation.
4. Database Proficiency. Proficient in writing and running complex SQL queries for data validation on databases such as SQL, MySQL, and DB2.
5. Methodologies. Deep understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, as well as Quality Assurance processes and best practices.
6. Test Management Tools. Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA and Rally for tracking and managing testing efforts.
7. Interpersonal Skills. Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner.
