We are looking for a passionate Associate Test Engineer (Automation) to join our team. In this role, you’ll be working in a fast-paced environment alongside talented engineers and product teams to ensure the quality of our highly ambitious products and integrations. This role will involve executing tests, investigating defects, and building test automation to support our engineering teams. Your work will have a direct impact on our customers and the success of the company.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Product Quality Assurance. Demonstrate a strong inclination towards ensuring the quality of the product through various testing strategies.
- Collaboration. Work closely with different teams and stakeholders to ensure the product meets the required quality standards. Engage with product teams to understand features and functionality for effective testing.
- Test Case Execution. Execute test cases and document the results. Log defects and track them to closure, ensuring all issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Root Cause Analysis. Investigate defects to determine their root causes and work with the development teams to resolve them. This is critical to maintaining the quality of the product.
- Test Automation. Contribute to building and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks, enhancing the testing process and increasing efficiency.
- Defect Tracking. Track defects through their lifecycle, from identification to resolution, ensuring no issues remain unaddressed.
- Learning & Growth. Continuously improve your skills, learn new testing methodologies, and contribute to the overall success of the team.
Requirements
- Educational Background. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience. 0-2 years of professional experience in software testing and quality assurance.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Familiarity with databases and SQL.
- Experience with web programming and understanding of web technologies.
- Basic understanding of manual testing and the willingness to learn test automation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Bonus Points for
- Certifications such as ISQTB, Java, or similar testing-related certifications.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
