What is the most painful moment at your grocery store? I bet, it is waiting in a cash register line. Guess what? Now, you won’t need to wait. As a matter of fact, you don’t even need to go to a cash register.

What is your the most painful moment at a mall while shopping? I bet, it is waiting in a cash register line. If you are a bargain hunter and there is a big sale? I refuse to go to mall where there is a shopping season. Too many people and too long waiting lines. 

I think "they" may have just found a solution. Now, you won't need to wait. I know I know, you will say that I can go into self paid express lines. That's not what I am talking about. As a matter of fact, you don't even need to go to a cash register. Cash register will walk to you. Interesting! Huh?

We know NFC (cash payments via smartphones) is an integral part of the latest smartphones including Windows Phone 8 and Android. I am sure the next version of Apple iOS will also support NFC. As a consumer, what does that mean to you? Well, we don't need to carry cash or credit cards anymore. We can pay by using our phones now.

"Two or three weeks ago, we placed our very last register order" - Urban Outfitters

I have already seen iPads have replaced the ordering menus at different places. In Philadelphia, I am already seeing that orders are being placed by iPads that direct connects to the server and makes the food or drinks ordering process much faster. Bad news for waitresses though. Now, they will have to walk less and will get fat. Lol!

Well, this is kind of old news too.

What if I say that now retailers will be use iPads as their cash registers? You go to Walmart and ordering can be place anywhere in the store with a person walking with an iPad?

Today, Business Insider reports that Urban Outfitters, a Philadelphia based clothing retailer has replaced its cash registers with iPads and iPods. Urban Outfitter's CIO said:

"Two or three weeks ago, we placed our very last register order... once we make sure this ipad works.. all stores will be equipped with iPod touches and iPads."

Well, right now, iPad will be attached on a desk but time is almost here when cash registers will be walking to you.
