Technologies Focus in .NET World

Based on my 2 days observation at the Microsoft Global MVP Summit 2013, there is a list of some of the key technologies that will make a major impact in near term

• Roslyn (What is Roslyn)
• TypeScript 
• SignalR - Wish to write a chat application in .NET? SignalR is technology. Here is a free SignalR book: http://www.campusmvp.net/signalr-ebook/
• Windows 8 and Windows Store Apps
• Windows Azure
• LINQ is getting more and more useful
  

Next Visual Studio Version will be a Major Player

The next version of Visual Studio definitely has many new cool features that will make developers lives much easier (like it's not already).

Visual Studio vNext will require you to have a profile. I guess it will be tracking your work and send feedback to Microsoft :).
