Steps For Getting Data From Twitter Using Power Automate
Using the Twitter connector, you can use Power Automate (formerly known as Microsoft Flow) to get data from Twitter. Here are the steps:
- Sign in to Power Automate with your Microsoft account.
- Click the "Create" button in the top navigation bar, then select "Instant cloud flow".
- Give your flow a name and click on "Create".
- Type " Twitter " in the search box and select the "Twitter - When a new tweet is posted" trigger.
- Follow the prompts to connect your Twitter account to Power Automate.
- Choose the Twitter account you want to monitor and specify the search terms or hashtags you want to track. You can also set up additional filters, such as the language or location of the tweets.
- Click on "Create" to save the trigger.
- Next, add an action to your flow to receive the Twitter data. For example, you can use the "Create item" action in SharePoint or the "Add a row" action in Excel.
- Follow the prompts to connect your destination service to Power Automate and configure the fields you want to populate with the Twitter data.
- Save your flow and run a test by posting a new tweet that matches your search criteria.
- Check your destination service to ensure the Twitter data was successfully retrieved and stored.
Note. Twitter connector in Power Automate requires a valid Twitter developer account and authentication tokens. You can obtain these by creating a new app in the Twitter Developer Portal and following the instructions.
