Configuring SQL Server database mail and using it
is very straight forward. But sometimes we might neglect some key
information which will led to error when running the sp_send_dbmail
Stored Procedures. Remember that the profile name is being
entered/created at the Database mail configuration and don't confuse
with profile name and account name. If you happen to run into the
mentioned error and forget the profile name, here what you can do to
retrieve the profile name.
- Right click the Database Mail
- Choose Configure Database Mail
- Manage Database Mail Account and Profiles
- View, change, or delete an existing profile…
