In earlier versions, this would be the flow for how Tweets can be viewed in our site.
- Embed our Twitter account code.
- Add Script Editor Web part to the Page.
- Insert the embed code.
Now, Microsoft has introduced a web part “Twitter Preview" which is simple and clean. Here we are going to learn the use of the "Twitter Preview" web part in a Modern SharePoint site page.
Twitter Web-part Flow
- Create a Page Insert Twitter (preview) Web part Feed.
- The Feeds which we can fetch will have the following options available
- Retrieving feeds based on User Name.
- Retrieving feeds based on Web Url.
- Retrieving feeds based on embed code.
- Retrieving feeds based on User Name
We need to give the Twitter User Name of the person from whom we need the tweet feeds. In my case, I gave Bill Gates as the Twitter UserName
- Retrieving feeds based on Web URL.
Publish the page & you can easily collaborate the twitter feeds with SharePoint. Based on the customer requirements & needs the web part layout and zone can be varied.
Currently Retrieving feeds based on embedded code is not possible from Twitter, because they have stopped that service.
Twitter feeds+Sharepoint integration is done.
