Introduction
In 2016, Microsoft introduced new capabilities in SharePoint Online team sites including integration with Office 365 groups. The users can experience modern UI with the lists, libraries, Web parts and while editing the page in the team sites. Please read this article for more information.
News list Webpart
Navigate to Office 365 SharePoint team site - https://c986.sharepoint.com/sites/VijaiAnand/.
Click Settings icon and subsequently click Add a page.
Enter the page name and now click + icon. Click Image gallery.

Upload the images from the site, local machine from the link or the recent images. Click Open.

Edit the Webpart and you can change the layout to Tiles or Carousel. Once you are done with the changes, publish the page.

ResultImage gallery Webpart is added to the page and published, as shown below.
