Introduction
Hi guys, let's try to Explore to develop and design a Scheduled Power Automate Flow to Send a daily mail requesting for WFH Request to your respective project manager, HR, and leads.
Prerequisites
- E3 License required for accessing Flow portal
- Basic Knowledge necessary to develop this Flow
Steps
Go to Flow.microsoft.com and Sign in >> go to left navigation menu >> + create >> select a Scheduled Flow >> give a flow name >>
Give the daily repetition option as 1 day >> click create.
Your New Flow was created with the above-selected trigger.
Now start filling the details as shown below by adding the Actions as shown below with the relevant information:
The above flow gets triggered every 13:30 Hrs IST as mentioned in the Advanced Settings of the Trigger used: Recurrence.
It generates Today's date using UTCNoW function and converted to standard date as required in Action: convert time zone.
It sends a Mail to all the above contacts whoever marked for To, CC, BCC, and marked as coming from my office email id with the above simple body description requesting for a WFH due to COVID lockdown in the last action used: Send an email (v2).
Limitations
It has to be turned off on weekends to avoid unnecessary emails triggering and needs to be turned on Monday again.
Image Signature can't be included using HTML coding OR HRef Tagging etc. It's failed and not supported currently.
Finally, we have developed a daily mail triggering flow with the current date and shift timings.
The above concept can be used for such kind of automated daily emails triggering to your DL Members by changing the subject, body, signature, and including more variables too!
