Microsoft announces Oslo. A new SOA initiative.

Today at the SOA Conference in Redmond Microsoft publicly announced Oslo. The next generation of Service Oriented Technologies that will be included in the next major wave of product releases.

This new initiative will focus on modeling and services.

It is a new approach to create composite application using BizTalk Server and Web services.

Oslo will be part of upcoming releases of major software platforms including: Visual Studio “10”, System Center “5”, BizTalk Server “6”, BizTalk Services “1” and .NET Framework “4”.
