Welcome Readers,
Welcome to an article on Manage Item Scheduling in SharePoint 2013 & Office 365. A very different feature which if you are aware about will be helpful to you.
This feature is present in Document Libraries of your site. Now you want to know what does it do?
Yes it helps documents in your views to be seen when you want them to see, you didn’t get me right.
I will explain you.
There are two default columns in the library, start date and end date. When you specify them for an item in your library, that particular item will be visible to the viewers during that point of time.
Yes isn’t it awesome!!
So how do you do it?
- Go the Document Library Settings.
- On the settings page you will find “Manage Item scheduling”, Click on it.
- You will the screen as below.
- Check the “Enable scheduling of items in this list”.
- Here it is configured now.
Now when this option gets enabled and you are uploading a document it will ask you to fill in the Start and End Dates once uploading them. These documents will be visible for that period of time only.
Isn’t it great!
Keep Learning! Cheers!
