How To Create A Drop Down List

Step 1

Open your MS-Excel [Winkey+R > Run Dialog box open > Type "EXCEL" Enter]

First create your list which you want to use in Drop-Down. It may be Numeric, Alphabetic, and Symbols. Let’s create a list of Months January, February, March, April, may, June, July, August, September, October, November and December.

Step 2

Now Go to Data menu then see data tools options select “Data validation” option. Data validation popup will open which have 3 tabs.

  1. Settings
  2. Input Message
  3. Error Alert

Step 3

In setting tab > Allow > select list option

After Selecting List it will ask you for the source data which we use in Drop-down list. Select list of month’s name and ok.



Put you current cell where you want to apply Drop-down list as I used B3 in above Image.

Finally our Drop-Down list is ready to use.
