How To Configure Project Site On SharePoint Online

This blog is about how to configure Project site on SharePoint online or Project online. By default, if we are creating any project, it won’t connect with the site.

We need to configure this with the help of administrator task. Thus, I am showing a live demo -- how to do so?
Follow the steps, mentioned below to configure the same.

  • Login the Project Server site or any of PWA sites and navigate your option to Projects center.

  • Here, select the Project, as shown above and it will open as Project detail page. Here, we will be seeing the Project site in left side of Project page.

  • Select the Project site, and we will get a message, which is shown below.

  • To configure the project site, we need to go to PWA settings page following the gear box on the right side of the screen.

  • Now, select option called Connected SharePoint sites from Operation Policies.

  • Once clicked above, it will take us to site connection page. Here, we can see all the connected Project sites. Hence, now select project which you want to add as a Project site. Click create site page option.

  • Select the same, as we need to assign Site URL. By default, it will select as project Name. Click OK.

  • Wait for some time and it will create after some time. Now, come back to “Connected SharePoint sites page” and verify the site has been created by seeing the site address and all the columns.

  • Here, we can deactivate if it is not required or do some setting as well.
