How to change the email notification sound in Outlook 2010
Every time I get a new email, I hear this sound and it gets
annoying when you get email almost every few minutes. I looked in Outlook
settings and everywhere and could not find how to disable or change this sound.
That is because the setting is not in Outlook but in the
system sound dialog.
I am using Windows 7. Go to Start and type "Sound" in search text box. You will see Sound item under Control Panel. Select that.

On next Sound dialog, go to Sounds tab and find New Mail Notification. In Sounds drop down, you can select any sound you like or choose None to mute it :).
