Microsoft still has problems with its Window Store on Windows 8 and 8.1 machines. Sometimes you may get an error while downloading or installing an app.
One of the options is try to clear the Windows Store cache so Windows Store can use latest updated Windows 8.1 settings. Remind you blue screen Restart?
To clear the Windows Store Cache, follow these instructions:
Hit WIN+R to open the Run window
Type wsreset.exe and hit OK.
You will see Loading Store…
It might take a while for Windows to clear the cache.
